The multiplier is locked on Ryzen 7 4800H, which limits its overclocking potential. The silicon die of the chip is not fabricated at AMD, but at the foundry of TSMC. AMD is making the Ryzen 7 4800H on a 7 nm production node using 9,800 million transistors. Ryzen 7 4800H has 12MB of 元 cache and operates at 2.9 GHz by default, but can boost up to 4.2 GHz, depending on the workload. Thanks to AMD Simultaneous Multithreading (SMT) the core-count is effectively doubled, to 16 threads. It is part of the Ryzen 7 lineup, using the Zen 2 (Renoir) architecture with Socket FP6. The AMD Ryzen 7 4800H is a mobile processor with 8 cores, launched in January 2020.
